What this information means
Public IP
Your public IP is the address your network presents when accessing websites. Run the lookup before and after connecting to PeeVPN to check whether the public address changes. If it does not, first check the client connection, system proxy settings, and selected route, then reload this page.
An IP address alone cannot fully describe connection quality or prove that every app uses the same route. Some apps may use separate network settings, so check the client status alongside actual access behavior.
Country or region
Location data comes from a GeoIP database and is compiled from address registration and network routing information. It can usually indicate the region of an exit point, but it is not a precise location and may differ from route labels as databases update.
When accessing region-sensitive services, also check the selected route, the region shown on the page, and the region settings on the account. Do not judge availability from a single result.
ISP and proxy signals
The ISP field identifies the network provider or organization associated with the public address, helping distinguish residential networks, data centers, and other exit sources. The proxy field simply repeats the marker returned by this site’s GeoIP endpoint; different databases may use different detection criteria.
A result showing no proxy does not imply any additional security, and a detected proxy does not by itself indicate a connection problem. This field is most useful for investigating differences in how services classify network types.

How to check for DNS leaks
This page does not call external DNS test services or fill results with guesses. Use client diagnostics and system network settings for a basic check.
Record the current public IP first
After connecting to a route, keep the lookup result above and check whether the country or region broadly matches the selected route. If the IP still shows your original public connection, resolve the connection issue before checking DNS.
Check the resolver source
Check the DNS resolver in your system network details, client diagnostics, or browser network diagnostics. If it still clearly belongs to the original local network while the public IP has switched to another region, DNS requests may not be following the expected path.
Check for app-specific settings
Encrypted DNS in the browser, custom system DNS, and security software can all change the resolution path. During troubleshooting, temporarily restore settings to follow the system or client, reconnect, and compare the resolver source again.
Recheck the connection
After switching routes or changing settings, reload this page to check the public IP and review the resolver again. Only when both the public IP and resolution path match expectations can the most common configuration differences be ruled out.
